“Pilates can seem complicated at times. It doesn’t have to be.”

I’m Katja — a Polestar-trained Mat Pilates instructor teaching a contemporary interpretation of the original exercise repertoire developed by Joseph Pilates.

Whether you're completely new to Pilates or have been practising for years, you'll be encouraged to work at your own level and develop a deeper understanding of your body.

ABOUT KATJA

By nature, I’m drawn to people and I love working with them.

Professionally, I seem to have come full circle.

I started my working life as a medical assistant before changing direction and becoming a hairdresser — a career that has become my absolute passion. I love the creativity, the people and the energy of a busy day in the salon. Pilates is now another skill I’ve added to my toolbox.

I’ve been practising Pilates for around 15 years, and I can genuinely speak from experience when I say what a difference it can make to a hard-working body.

I honestly don’t think I could still do my job pain-free without it.

Now I want to share what I’ve learnt.

I’m particularly interested in teaching good movement rather than simply getting through an exercise. I like explaining the why behind a movement, helping people understand what they’re actually doing and, most of all, seeing those wonderful lightbulb moments when something suddenly clicks.

Pilates can seem complicated at times. It doesn’t have to be.

My aim is to make my classes clear, purposeful and enjoyable, while helping you develop a better understanding of your own body.

And there’s always music. I’m a big music lover, so you can expect a really good soundtrack to accompany your workout.
